Before joining WMHW, Jeff practiced in the litigation departments of two leading law firms, where he worked on a variety of complex commercial litigation matters, including mortgage-backed securities litigation, employment litigation, benchmark litigation, constitutional litigation, false advertising, and data privacy. He also maintained an active pro bono practice, representing clients in criminal and civil matters.

Jeff also clerked for the Honorable Joseph A. Greenaway, Jr. of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the Honorable Cathy Seibel of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Jeff graduated from Columbia Law School, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and an articles editor of the Columbia Law Review. He was awarded the Whitney North Seymour Medal, awarded annually to the student who shows the greatest promise of becoming a distinguished trial advocate. He also served as the President of the Black Law Students Association from 2013 to 2014. During law school, Jeff also worked with various public interest legal services organizations, including the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund, The Bronx Defenders, and the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia.

Prior to attending law school, Jeff was a Teach for America corps member and spent three years teaching high school social studies in Baltimore, Maryland.
