Congratulations to WMH partner Adam Cohen, who earned a big shout out from The American Lawyer in their “Litigator of the Week” column.

“And one last big shout out to Adam Cohen of Walden, Macht & Haran who secured a preliminary injunction for client Relay Delivery Inc. in a challenge to New York City’s new minimum wage law affecting app-based delivery workers. Although Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Nicholas Moyne turned back a similar injunction request brought on behalf of Uber, DoorDash and GrubHub, the judge found last week that the new minimum rule failed to properly consider Relay’s unique business model: The company contracts directly with restaurants to provide delivery services, has no consumer-facing app or website, and pays workers for on-call time.”
