On June 4th, 2025, Giskan Solotaroff & Anderson LLP and Walden Macht Haran & Williams prevailed at trial on the plaintiff’s behalf in a retaliation case brought before the Supreme Court of the State of New York in 2015.

After ten years of litigation, a jury delivered justice to the plaintiff who was retaliated against after filing a gender discrimination complaint against her employer. The jury found in favor of plaintiff not only on her retaliation claim, but also her quantum meruit claim and awarded her punitive damages in the amount of $5.8 million.

The case is Denise A. Rubin v. Napoli Bern Ripka Shkolnik, LLP, et al. (Index No. 154060/2015). The WMHW team includes Milt Williams, Veronica Wayner, and Anuoluwapo Daramola.
