WMHW Files Federal Challenge to Protect Housing Investments and Stability in NYC

Last week, WMHW filed a federal lawsuit on behalf of Balanced Housing Solutions, a growing coalition of NYC property investors. The suit challenges the State’s retroactive shift in rules governing the renovation program for rent stabilized buildings, a change that jeopardized major investments and the quality of housing available to middle-income New Yorkers.

The team was lead by Jim Walden. The filing asks the court to restore the original standards and prevent the State from applying new requirements to completed projects.
