Careers

We offer exceptional opportunities to talented lawyers.

WMHW is an elite litigation boutique that handles both civil and criminal cases and strives to do good. Our lawyers include former law clerks, federal prosecutors, and partners and associates from top-tier firms. If you are looking for substantive work among talented colleagues who prize decency and love a challenge, we’d like to hear from you.

WMHW is known for its high-profile work in the areas of white collar defense and investigations as well as monitorships, corporate compliance advice, and civil disputes. We represent clients in inquiries and enforcement actions brought by the Department of Justice (DOJ), various U.S. Attorneys’ Offices, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the New York Attorney General’s Office, the Federal Reserve Board (FRB), FINRA, the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, and the New York Department of Financial Services (DFS). We also handle numerous cross-border matters involving clients around the globe.

  • Associates

Our associates take on significant responsibility for both pro bono and billable matters, including leadership and first-chair roles. Applicants should have exemplary academic credentials and 1–4 years of experience working in an elite litigation department or government office, preferably handling white collar, regulatory defense, investigations, or complex civil matters. We especially value judicial clerkship experience, business fluency in other languages, and experience with international law.

  • Laterals

Since its founding in 2015, WMHW has built a thriving litigation, defense, and investigations practice by delivering creative, thoughtful, and aggressive legal services. Due to our continued growth and commitment to locating the highest caliber of talent, WMHW periodically seeks to hire bright and experienced lawyers from diverse backgrounds.

  • Professional Staff

Our professional team is integral to the firm’s success and works in full partnership with our lawyers. To attract and retain top talent, we offer exceptional benefits, opportunities for professional development, and an inclusive, collegial work environment where everyone’s contribution is sought and valued.
